Make patio furniture shiny and new |
(NC)—It's that time again for our lawn, pool, and patio furniture to be examined, fixed, and restored if necessary. It's also the right time to wash it down with an antibacterial cleaning aid, since germs multiply quickly in the summer heat. Tips from Mr. Clean, for example, suggest the following: For wood, wicker, and teak, use an oil-based soap, a soft scrub brush, and rinse thoroughly. Plastic and other non-porous furniture can be washed down initially with a liquid antibacterial, multi-purpose cleaner, followed by a good soaking with the garden hose. Use an effective antibacterial spray for quick clean maintenance. Wrought iron can be revived with the same liquid antibacterial cleaner, or with a mild soapy solution. Clean aluminium furniture the same way and maintain with a non-streaking spray. The better sprays today do several germ-killing cleaning jobs in one – including great results on glass, mirror, and aluminium.
